The Dale Forest Cancer Treatment Fund

Dale Forest was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer in July at the age of 57. The news shocked Dale and his family as he lives a healthy lifestyle and never smoked a day in his life.
Today, we are reaching out to you, as Dale's medical circumstances have changed. Unfortunately, recent imaging reveals that the targeted chemotherapy Dale was successfully receiving has lost its effectiveness. The cancer is spreading close to vital areas and a new treatment is necessary to stop this advancement immediately.
Although this news is difficult to hear, Dale's oncology team is recommending treatment that is showing great promise in its early phase of clinical trials at Mass General Hospital, Boston. This news has given Dale, Kathleen, and their children renewed hope for the future. Dale believes participation in this study will extend the length and quality of his life while giving hope to future patients diagnosed with lung cancer.
We all know Dale possesses an incredibly positive outlook, and while his team is optimistic, Dale is preparing for intensive clinical treatment with an unexpected financial burden.
This Go Fund Me is newly created because Dale and Kathleen are unable to afford these expenses on their own. Many facets of the clinical trial are not covered by insurance. Kathleen, who left her job to care for Dale, will apply for some limited aid available to cancer patients at MGH. Unfortunately, high costs will remain for supportive medication and treatment, diagnostic copays, lodging, parking, and gas.
Dale's treatment began on February 28th. Please consider helping our friend Dale who has helped so many of us. Any amount will help and is accepted with appreciation, hope, and gratitude.
