The Daniel Davis Memorial Scholarship
Donation protected
On November 17, 1978, four employees at the Burger Chef restaurant in Speedway, Indiana were murdered. One of the victims, Daniel Davis, was a junior at Decatur Central High School (DCHS). He was an honor roll student and an avid photographer. He even had his own darkroom. At the time of his murder, he had a desire to go into the Air Force like his older brother and pursue a career in photography.
DCHS is creating the Daniel Davis memorial scholarship, named in his honor. This scholarship will go to a deserving DCHS student that has a desire to pursue photography. This scholarship will help DCHS students achieve their dreams. A dream that was taken away from Daniel, but one that we hope to pass on.
The Burger Chef murders remains unsolved and it has left a dark stain on the Indianapolis community. This scholarship will help bring something good out of something so horrific. Your donation will help us to keep the memory of Daniel alive and support future DCHS students for years to come.
