The daughters of Megan Fairlie

It is with profound sadness that we announce Dr. Megan Fairlie of Westin Florida has lost her long battle with cancer. Meg was a Professor of Law at Florida International University, a dedicated teacher and human rights advocate, but most of all she was a loving mom of two young girls. It was her sincerest wish to provide her daughters with an excellent education and every opportunity to pursue their dreams.

A former prosecutor and formidable opponent, Meg waged war against this disease for the sake of her brave girls, who match their mother’s intelligence, courage and compassion. Meg was adamant that her girls be able to continue to live in their family home and in the community that supported them throughout her illness.
