The Dava Defib project
Donation protected
The Dava Moor is a beautiful, rural area with a small community. We don't have a post office or a shop or a pub but what we do have is a BT phone box without a phone!
The Dava Moor Residents Association want to turn the redundant phone box into a defib (AED) station to provide life-saving equipment as we are 6 miles away from the nearest defibrillator and 8 miles away from the nearest town. This would benefit our community and the many visitors that frequent the Dava Way and Lochindorb.
Due to our very stunning but very exposed location in the Highlands we have to consider things like preventing the Defib from freezing in winter and all this comes at a higher cost.
Unfortunately fundraising the project has been tough, with multiple unsuccessful applications to the nearby Berry Bern Windfarm and National Lottery so we are asking you, friends, family and members of the public please help if you can.
Donations received will be given directly to The Dava Moor Residents Association to contribute towards payment of:
AED and Cabinet
Adoption of BT phone box
Refurb and re-signing of phone box
Cardiac Arrest Response Training for the community
