The David Family - House Fire in Texas

Donation protected
Hello, I'm Jim and raising funds for my sister Tara David, her husband Chris David, their son Tristen David, and two rescue dogs (Bear & Forest David) - and my parents, Grandma and Grandpa, Sue & Jim. They all lived together in Haslet, TX (North Fort Worth Dallas area).

Early morning, January 11th, their lives changed forever. Among the worst scenes played out for them all, a house fire! A total loss from a fully engulfed house fire early in the morning (an investigation is underway, and no cause has yet been determined). All 2 and 4 legged creatures were out before things got out of control. FORTUNATELY, no one was hurt, thank God!

About the family:
  • Chris - US Army Veteran, Army Ranger. Self-Employed general contractor for the local area.
  • Tara - Currently juggling with a declined disability claim for an injured back at work, from a career in logistics. Fun fact, she used to work at Toys R Us headquarters in NJ!
  • Tristen - full-time employed, and serving his community
  • Bear & Forest - spoiled!
  • Sue & Jim - well cared for and retired.

Retirees, Grandma & Grandpa (our parents Sue & Jim) also lived in the same house. After selling their house in New Jersey, they spend time visiting and living with each of their 5 children, but this was home base. They lost everything on January 11th too.

It's a total loss for all parties involved. It's sad. It's, unfortunately, life. But, again, FORTUNATELY, no one was hurt, thank God! Here are some pics shared with the family this morning and showing the house before and as of today.

There is insurance on the home and we don't know what will come of that, but based on a suggestion from a friend, this fund raise will help them rebuild, deal with unexpected circumstances and off-set the insurance gap. The funds will be used for food, shelter, clothing, and of course, dog food!

I picked a goal with no experience having done this before and not sure what to expect.

It takes a village, they say, so we're asking for those so inclined and able, to contribute however you see fit financially to help this family rebuild and recover from this horrible situation.

FORTUNATELY, no one was hurt, thank God!

We appreciate you and your help. Please share this with anyone you think would like to also contribute.
