The David Sennewald Costello Memorial Scholarship Fund

The Costello Family and ATD can think of no better way to honor Dave than by starting a scholarship fund in his honor. Dave's passion for helping others achieve their goals in aviation was unparalleled, and we want to keep that passion alive for years to come.

We are partnering with the Truman Heartland Community Foundation to manage and administer the scholarship fund in a structured and unbiased manner. A trusted leader in charitable giving, Truman Heartland serves individuals, couples, and families who, through their private giving, wish to support the public good. Dave's scholarship will serve underprivileged students who aspire to make a career in aviation but struggle to overcome the financial barriers to entry.

Truman Heartland will receive applications and choose scholarship recipients completely separate of ATD or the Costello family for use towards flight training at ATD, where Dave worked as both a flight instructor and an A&P mechanic for over eight years.

The Truman Heartland scholarship threshold is $25,000 and we are kindly asking our community to help support our quest to gift Dave's passion for aviation to future generations.

Fundraising events to support this cause will be scheduled in the very near future.
