The Deep End - Short Film

Our Story

DirtyWorks Productions was founded 7 years ago in Los Angeles by us, Duane Garcia-Facey and Max Minus. We started a production company of our own in an effort to make unexpected content, as well as content that saw the light of day. Our tireless mission as filmmakers has been to ensure that DirtyWorks is true to those 2 tenets, to be both thought-provoking and to see projects through to their end. "The Deep End" is the culmination of over a half a decade of experience, and we can't wait to share it with you!

The Project

"The Deep End": 18 years after the sudden death of his father, a near fatal accident on the anniversary of his passing sends Raff to the afterlife for a chance to talk with his late father.

For Max, there are parallels to this story and his, as he lost his dad at a young age. But for the team, there are themes of coming of age, grief, hope, and so much more that have been bejeweled into this script.

It's something that is very powerful, very honest, and very relatable that will make a remarkable impact on both audiences as well as our careers.

Where is Your Contribution Going?

Cinematography- We're using top of the line lights and cameras to ensure our film looks like the real deal.

Sound- Nothing's worse than a great looking film with sound issues. We intend to make sure our film sounds as good as it looks.

Production Design- From things like prop guns to cars, we have a list of production design elements crucial to making The Deep End feel real. It's all in the details.

Transportation- Getting our cast and crew to and from locations.

Crafty- We are making sure that sufficient food and water are available to everyone on set.

Cast and Crew- Though it, unfortunately, can't be much, we want to pay our cast and crew what they're worth.
