The Diane Minns Future Educator Scholarship

This fund is a multi-year scholarship fund to support graduating high school students interested in becoming educators to help them afford their college education.
Diane worked in education for over 40 years and would want to support future educators in contributing to the next generation.
This fund will be limited to supporting students currently enrolled in Ohio high schools, with special consideration given to:
- Those interested in becoming special education teachers.
- Buckeye Valley, Centerville, and Berea: the school districts where Diane taught.

Diane Minns (Petras), a beloved mother, wife, daughter, and sister, passed away peacefully at The James at The Ohio State University on September 1, 2023.
Diane completed her undergraduate and master's degrees at Bowling Green University and Cleveland State University, respectively. She touched the lives of countless students through her work as a special education teacher at Berea Elementary School, Centerville High School, and Buckeye Valley High School. Diane was recognized as Teacher of the Year in 2018 at Buckeye Valley High School. After retirement, she continued to serve her community as a tutor and mentor at Ohio Wesleyan University.
Diane lived a full and vibrant life, deeply rooted in family and community. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
