The Dill Family

We thought we should update everyone on Jason Dill.  After having headaches for a few weeks he had some nausea on Sunday, October 7, 2018.   Jason went to Shelby Hospital and was going to be admitted for hydrocephalus (swelling on the brain). He was supposed to have brain surgery the following day. They then did an MRI and found a cyst (colloid cyst) and transferred him to UAB for surgery to remove the cyst. During the night, Jason suffered a seizure which they believe caused the brain to hemorrhage and collapse onto the brain stem. He has been unresponsive since then. The last MRI that they did this afternoon showed irreversible damage to the brain stem. Friends are saying their goodbyes this evening and the family will make the decision in the morning, October 9, to remove him from life support. Prayers, love and support are appreciated and welcomed. If you would like to visit with the family, all are welcome today (Monday Oct 8 as tomorrow will be family only). He is on the 8th floor at UAB ICU - room 8306) We will update with any news we have going forward.
