Hello all!
The Dirkx family of Spencer have lost their home to the floods that are impacting northern Iowa. Along with their home they have lost the family's 4 vehicles, Jenna’s wedding dress (she’s getting married in August), and other wedding decorations and valuables, as well as all of their belongings in their house.
Jenna is a teacher and coach at East High in Sioux City, Devin is a Junior and play baseball at Northwestern, and their parents, Brian and Michele, are both teachers and coaches in Spencer. As a family they have given their lives to the community and to education, the least that can be done is to help out in their time of severe need.
They are currently staying at community church shelter and Jenna will need to, somehow, get back to Sioux City.
We don’t know another way to help other than this platform.
