The Displacement Walk

We are embarking on a 41km walk (or a little more) with our toddler bringing all we can carry to survive for however long it takes us. We expect 2-3 days, but children can be unpredictable.

We invite families around Ireland to either walk with us for some or all of the way, create your own route near to you, or just get out and walk that weekend, and think about how lucky we are to have safety and comfort for our children.

Gaza is 41km from North to South. Millions of Palestinians have had to relocate dozens of times to try to find safety, safety that doesn't exist in Gaza.

With very little notice, they need to grab their essentials and carry everything with them, to find a place to keep their children safe in the midst of bombs and bullets.

Palestinians don't have the luxury of stopping when they're tired, or going home to a safe place and warm meals afterwards. We will spend this walk in absolute solidarity with all Palestinans.
