Help Us Become a Non-Profit

Hi!
We are the founders of the national We Can Do Better Campaign, inspired by our original campaign called @wecandubetter at the University of Denver. Our accounts allow survivors to anonymously share their stories on a national platform. As survivors ourselves, we have been continually disappointed by the failures of Title IX investigations and policies on college campuses, and hope to help integrate extensive trauma-informed policies as well as more prevention and education on campuses across the country.
We started the national Instagram account to help activists on other schools to push for change on their campuses around the topic of gender violence and to show survivors everywhere that they are not alone. We have been quite successful at creating change on our own campus and hope to do the same on other campuses by making ourselves a nonprofit. If you want to know more about us, check us out here or visit our website.
This money will go towards the paperwork filing fees for the IRS as well as the lawyers necessary to complete this process. The expected filing fees are about $400, and a lawyer is expected to cost about $3,500. We are also currently paying for our website with our own money. Any funds left over will go towards our efforts helping activists at other schools create change.
If you could donate to us and help us to create change across the nation to prevent gender violence and support survivors, we would be incredibly grateful.
Thank you so much!
