The Dog Over Peover Macclesfield 10k for Loz

We are Kieran, Nadia and Dan. Three members of the Management Team at The Dog at Peover. We hugely appreciate you taking the time to read our story and any support you can give would go beyond words.

In August this year, The Dog at Peover lost a beloved member of the family. Laurence (Loz to those who knew him well) had been part of the furniture at The Dog for over a Decade and was extremely well loved by the Peover community. He'd seen a lot of changes through the years he dedicated to the Pub and to those who had the pleasure of meeting him and the privilege of enjoying his company, we shall be eternally grateful for memories made. Despite his declining health, Loz never let anything slow him down. His incredible strength and determination has touched the hearts of so many. Sadly, Loz lost his lengthy battle with Stage 4 Liver failure and passed away peacefully just two days after his loving Wife, Jane in August. Thank you, Laurence, for being such a beacon in our lives.

We are running the Macclesfield 10K in honour of Loz, donating all support to East Cheshire Hospice, for the continuation of the wonderful work they do, day in, day out for people just like our Loz who face life limiting illnesses. They provide a warm and welcoming space to support and comfort patients and their loved ones with care and compassion as their upmost priority.
