The Donkey Haven Charity Climb

Sophie Hoveman is organizing this fundraiser to benefit The Donkey haven charity.

May 2025; We will be climbing The Pike—the highest peak in England—to raise funds for The Donkey Haven Charity(Beaworthy, Devon). This sanctuary provides a safe haven for rescued donkeys, offering them the care and love they need and deserve.

We will be tackling the breathtaking ascent in the Lake District...rain or shine!

By supporting this fundraiser, you’ll help ensure the donkeys at Donkey Haven Charity continue to receive the best care...from proper nutrition and dental work to medical attention and a safe, loving environment.

These gentle creatures have often been saved from neglect or mistreatment, and with your help, they can live out the rest of their lives in peace, in the sunny Devonshire fields!

We invite everyone to donate, and cheer on our team as they conquer the challenging heights of Scafell Pike. Every contribution, no matter how big or small, will make a huge impact on the lives of these rescued animals.

If you would like to help out another way, or at a later date, there is the option to visit The Donkey Haven Sanctuary! You can even book a donkey walk – wander down the country fields and back. A great way to get to know their playful cheeky personalities. These donkeys are also up for adoption/sponsorship! Friendly dogs allowed on leads.
