The Dream BJJ Academy in Chester

Hi, my name is Steve Jones and I’m raising money to open my dream BJJ Academy location. After leaving the Army I ended up moving to London to go and train Jiu Jitsu back in 2000. I left everything behind and found this to be an unexpected and amazing experience. It took 16yrs to be awarded the Black Belt. In London I worked as a Personal Trainer and met many fantastic people during this time. 24yrs on I’ve ran my own Academy for 10yrs with the aim to share the experience I’ve had training with everyone that trains at our Academy.

My current building has been fantastic but I know deep down that to progress and to give the best possible service to all the students and the community we need to relocate to a bigger and neater premises.

This I have found but we have 3 months free rent whilst 3 months must be paid. I have secured a deal but I have 4 months to serve still at the current location.

My aim is to raise the capital to secure the building and to give back to anyone who helps. Whether it be with memberships or Personal Training, all funding will have an option of receiving a service of exchange if wanted,

For me this is a life changing opportunity and will provide better service to the Community and better jobs for the Academy Staff. I have a huge ambition of teaching more kids and Families and providing a service that everyone will benefit from that walks through the Academy doors. Jiu Jitsu is something that people from all walks of life and age groups can do. It provides a community for people to get for, feel good, all learn valuable life skills. Jiu Jitsu changes people for the better, and I hope to change lives with this new venture and bring positive outcomes for all students.

For me it’s all about the people, that’s where I get my purpose and drive from.
