Can you join us to help change the face of advertising, communications and public relations? How do we understand the practice of communications in the 21st century and how do we better equip ourselves and our organisations to tackle the bigger issues of growing distrust, community division, values and purpose.
The 'Dublin Conversations' is a global non commercial initiative set up by practitioners and academics to create a big change about how we approach and talk about what we do. By stimulating hundreds of small conversations and harnessing the power of humble intelligence - when every conversation makes a difference - fresh, resilient thinking can emerge.
The initiative began a year ago when 25 like minded people came together in Dublin to talk about the need for new thinking. The concept, now curated by Sarah Bowman, Andy Green, Padraig McKeon and other like minded individuals want to take these conversations further and reach as many people as possible through digital communications and face-to-face conversational events.
Can you help make this happen? What can you do?
1.Join the conversation by visiting our Dublin Conversation Sandpit that provides an online space for people like you to engage, listen, contribute and nurture new ideas.
2.Experiment with the '5 steps to Dublin' a changemaker tool to help practitioners map and identify how they can create a new mindset in the workplace. New tools are being developed all the time helping to make this initiative a real 'Journey from Dublin".
3.Can you contribute £10 or €10 to help fund the next stage of this project?
Funding will:
1.Allow more conversations to happen - at the moment the initiative is volunteer based- we don't want this to change- but there are some basic costs that need to be covered including some travel, the production of a green paper to curate all the ideas from the Dublin Conversations, additional sundries such as web hosting and technology related costs
2.Turn this initiative into a legacy of expanded tools for practitioners, a green paper containing tools, theories, insights and an evolved vocabulary
3.Contribute to a bigger legacy that will create a new narrative for our practice and how our practice fits into wider society and the wicked and complex problems that many of our organisations face
Thank you for your support. We will ensure you are kept updated with our progress during every stage of our 'Journey from Dublin'
