Help Save Mv. Warrior a Dunkirk little ship.

She saved countless lives now it’s time for us to save her. Can you please help with this fundraising campaign.

In the chaos of war, amidst the cries of desperate soldiers, there emerged a fleet of little ships, one named Mv. WARRIOR. She was no mighty battleship; instead, she was a humble motor vessel, commissioned by the Admiralty in 1912.

Dunkirk witnessed Mv. Warrior's valor. In 1940, as the German forces closed in, trapping thousands of Allied troops, Warrior, part of the little ship fleet became their lifeline. She ferried British and French soldiers from the beaches, her decks echoing with the footsteps of weary men.

Simon Chaplin, Clive, and Oliver Elsden discovered her languishing on the banks of the river Saône in Central France. The once-proud vessel had weathered badly, her wooden bones creaking under the weight of history. But they saw beyond the rot and decay. They felt the presence of those she had saved, the lives she had cradled in her once sturdy hull. Without their intervention, Warrior was doomed to be scrapped.

Against all odds, they rallied. Armed with determination, they faced a demolition crew armed with chainsaws.

In the nick of time they secured a haulage company for her journey home. After 4 crane lifts, 36 hours on the back roads across France, 3 different ports and a ferry crossing they rescued Warrior. Bringing her back to where she last left British waters.

But this is not the end of her tale. The 90th Anniversary of Dunkirk approaches, and Warrior longs to return. With your help, dear reader, Simon, Clive, and Oliver will breathe life into her timeworn planks. Shipwrights will toil, coaxing her back to her former glory.

So, let us rally, my friends. Let us honor Warrior’s past by securing her future. For she is not just a vessel; she is a beacon of resilience, a testament to the indomitable spirit that refuses to yield. Together, we shall ensure that her twin Gardner Engines propell her back to Dunkirk once again, a salute to the heroes who once clung to her decks.
