The East San Jose COVID Relief Fund
Donation protected
Initiated by San Jose Planning Commissioner Rolando A. Bonilla, the East San Jose COVID Relief Fund is a fundraising campaign intended to support East San Jose businesses and nonprofits.
Commissioner Bonilla has partnered with Business Circle LatinX, an East San Jose based non profit, that will act as the fund's fiscal sponsor. Additionally, Business Circle LatinX will be providing the award recipients with access to additional resources and technical support.
100% of the proceeds will go directly to East San Jose businesses and nonprofits. Additionally, the fund will make public the amount raised and the recipients of the grants.
Through this fund, I am seeking to create a community vehicle that will allow for us to help support the very heart and soul of East San Jose, our businesses and nonprofits.
The facts are that many of our businesses and nonprofits have had a very difficult time accessing government dollars, and as a result of that, many are being forced to close or are on the brink.
The only way we are going to protect our community is by working together, and investing to save our community.
