The Elk Fire Relief Fund

The Elk Fire Relief Fund benefiting local Northern Wyoming Fire Departments.
Last week, The Elk Fire ignited in my hometown of Sheridan, Wyoming. Due to unpredictable weather conditions, the fire has gone uncontained, and has since burned over 55,000 acres in Sheridan County and surrounding areas.
The Elk Fire has severely affected the place that is most near and dear to me and my family. To help assist all the brave men and women who are fighting this fire, I have pledged $30,000 to local fire departments and am asking that you consider donating to our GoFundMe if you can.
Rural Wyoming relies heavily on volunteer firefighters, and right now their resources are being spread thin. Donations made to the Elk Fire Relief Fund will be funneled back to the following fire departments and local agencies to provide support needed to combat the fires and prevent further widespread damage.
- Bureau of Indian Affairs - Division of Wildland Fire Management
- Big Horn Fire Department
- Clearmont Fire District
- County Emergency Management
- Dayton Fire Department
- Goose Valley Fire Department
- Ranchester Fire Department
- Sheridan County Emergency Management
- Sheridan Fire Department
- Sheridan Area Rural Fire District
- Story Volunteer Fire Department
Let’s help these heroes quickly get the resources they need to keep us safe! We greatly appreciate any and all contributions you’re able to make to help us restore our beloved home.
Thank you,
Ian Munsick
