Our Story

Hello, I'm Emma, and I wish to share with you the story of my brave little lad, Marcus, who is just 2 and a half years old. Marcus's journey has been nothing short of extraordinary, marked by resilience in the face of adversity. Since his birth, he has undergone two major brain surgeries, battling a condition that affects many yet remains widely misunderstood – epilepsy.

**The Early Days**

Our journey began when Marcus was only a few months old. Seizures started suddenly, leading to a diagnosis that would change our lives forever. The word 'epilepsy' hit us hard. We were plunged into a world of medical terms, treatments, and uncertainty.

The difficulty for Marcus is he is drug resistant so the only way out of hourly seizures was through brain surgery. But this is still ongoing and he is not out of the woods yet due to his diagnosis pretty much meaning he will still carry the risks of seizures throughout most of his life.

**The Battles and Victories**

Marcus has undergone two brain surgeries. Each time, he has shown incredible strength, and each surgery has been a testament to the advances in medical science. But our fight is far from over. Marcus's condition requires ongoing treatment and research for better solutions. To help other little ones have better treatments to prevent a lot of suffering that doesn’t need to happen.
