The Escape Fund of 2 Trans Siblings

My name is Lydia Michelle and I need help. Help for me and for someone I love as deeply as a little brother. He's helped me conquer alcohol, grow as a person, and taught me what being loved and respected really feels like as a woman. He also needs my help, and I'm financially stuck.

He is presently being held captive by his family. They have access to his finances, his personal data, his transportation - everything. They monitor every part of his life, in order to make sure he cannot live as his authentic self; a young adult transman.

I want to rescue him, to give him a place to stay that is free of judgment and control, where he can find who he truly is beneath all the pain and trauma of the past. He is, as mentioned, as a little brother to me and I want to share my life and future with him, and watch him grow.

He has been through so much, as have I. I have experienced addiction, loss, and tremendous grief. Along the way, I have failed, but I have never lost my will to try and am over a year sober from alcohol and seven years from opiates.

This fundraiser was originally titled "The Escape Fund of Two Trans Siblings (and a dog)." Tragically, that dog has now, as of me writing this in October of 2024, was put to sleep due to an aggressive growth in his abdomen. His face is still what covers this fundraiser, because he is still with us.
