The families affected by fire on Russell Island

This GoFundMe will support the funeral costs, testamentary expenses and general purposes directly associated with the victims of the Russell Island residential house fires on 6 August 2023. Any monies remaining will go to support the families directly affected by the fire and displaced from their homes.

SMBI Listeners Inc. (Incorporation No. IA59829 ABN: 27 420 984 556) will collect the monies, then pay this out towards the funeral and testamentary expenses, and any remaining money will be disbursed to the families directly.

SMBI Listeners Inc. is a place-based community-lead non-profit organisation that works with community across the Southern Moreton Bay Islands and service providers to improve health and other outcomes for community and families.

SMBI Listeners Inc. has been working with Samantha Stephenson and her family for some time and is collecting this money to primarily assist with funeral and testamentary costs. The funds will be transferred into the SMBI Listeners account, then straight to the Funeral Directors to assist in covering funeral expenses.
