The Family of Cliff Cargill

Donation protected
It is with a heavy heart that I write this message, today.  On Friday, July 20, 2018, Cliff Cargill passed away in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, while furthering his training, as a Training Counselor with the USCCA.

Cliff has had many loves in his life; family, music, cars, law enforcement, competitive shooting and firearms instruction.  Cliff may be best known for his time as a firearms instructor.

While Cliff was a very talented and accomplished competitive shooter, with numerous titles in multiple disciplines, he had the heart of a teacher and loved more than anything bringing more and more people into to the world of firearms ownership by teaching them how these tools could afford them the ability to not only protect themselves and their families, but how much fun it could be when he introduced them to the competitive shooting side of things.

Cliff helped to put new shooters at ease and make them feel comfortable with being around, handling and using a firearm, by teaching them the proper ways to handle them with safety for themselves and those around them at the top of that list.  Cliff helped seasoned shooters improve on their skills and safe handling techniques.

Cliff was always generous, not only in the giving his time to teach, but also in going so far as to loan equipment, and even firearms, to a new shooter trying to get started in the competitive shooting world.  Cliff's home range was Magnolia Rifle and Pistol Club and he's had the opportunity to shoot at ranges all of the country as well as attend training facilities all over.  He was very well respected in the firearms community, not just in Mississippi, but all over this great country.

Cliff will be sorely missed and his passing will leave a giant hole in the firearms community, both with his kind, gentle nature and the wealth of knowledge that he brought with him.

Cliff leaves behind his mother, Barbara Cargill, his wife, Cristine, and their two sons, Blaise and Clive.

Cliff, we will miss you greatly and until we meet again, Godspeed, my friend.  Please know that your family is in our prayers.

The purpose of this GoFundMe account is to help Cliff's family cover the costs of his return home, as well as the funeral and burial expenses and lastly the logistics of getting his mother’s car and his personal belongings back home from Wisconsin.

Services for Cliff Cargill will be held Saturday, July 28, 2018, at Lakewood Funeral Home, 6011 Clinton Blvd., Jackson, Mississippi, 39209 (601-922-2123).  Visitation will be from 9:00 am until 11:00 am, with the Funeral Service at 11:00 am and the burial immediately following the service.
