Family of Colette Hayes, Chris Jamieson, & Darron

This is our son Dahmari Hayes. He passed away drowning in the Sims Bayou in Houston, TX on 06/02/2022. His birthday is 06/06/2006, he would’ve been celebrating his 16th birthday this Monday, 06/06/2022 along with myself, his father Chris, my wife and his siblings Antonio, Pierre, Miyah and Dejah. He was the youngest of our sons. Dahmari played the Cello and was outstanding when he played. He was a very bright and intelligent young man, knowing facts of some of the most interesting topics. He loved to wear hats and hoodies. He loved to dance and create his own dance moves. He was very silly, and we do mean very silly. He was loved by all his family and friends. He’s been called a Superhero by a couple of his friends which brings us joy because we know his purpose was fulfilled.

During this time we humbly ask all that loved Dahmari to help his Mother and siblings by donating anything if possible. No amount is too small and we absolutely mean that. This money will help with taking a leave of absence, household bills and travel expenses. We have only been here in Houston for almost a year now relocating from Indiana. The love and support we’ve gotten here so far is so amazing. Nothing goes unnoticed, so if my wife hasn’t given you her thanks by now please give her sometime, what has happened to our son is so unimaginable and she needs time to get to everyone. We thank you for all the prayers, text and post. Seeing his smile in ever single photo has brought us comfort and joy.
