The family of Ella Lukse

Everyday people make thousands of choices. Speeding, however, is a

choice that can have serious consequences. On September 3, 2023, a teenage driver did just that. He carelessly chose to drive significantly over the speed limit in a residential neighborhood, which caused him to crash into a car and tragically end the life of 15-year-old, Ella Lukse. All of Ella’s choices have been stolen from her, forever.

Ella, a daughter, sister, niece, granddaughter, girlfriend and friend

to many was truly a light in the lives of all who knew her. According to her friends, Ella was so great at bringing people together. She was always inclusive, kind hearted, compassionate, and caring. She loved to dance and was silly. She was also a great listener for all those who needed it and always gave them the best advice. Ella loved sunrises and sunsets, especially at the beach. She would wake everyone up at the crack of dawn to catch the perfect sunrise. Ella and her sister, Gia (11), were always together. Ella was fiercely protective of Gia, as were all of Ella’s friends.

Ella was special and we are so lucky to have had her in our lives, but 15 years is not enough. The loss of Ella is immeasurable. Her loss is heartbreaking to the many who loved her. Ella was an inspiration

to everyone. Being with her made everyone want to be and do better. She was smart, beautiful and brave. In her final act of kindness, Ella became an organ donor to save and improve the lives of others. Ella taught us all so much, except how to live without her. Ella’s family has been faced with decisions that no parent ever wants to make. Please consider donating to keep Ella’s memory with us.
