The family of Janice Fischer

Janice Fischer was diagnosed with Stage 4 Glioblastoma in November/December 2021. Anyone who knows about cancer knows that this was not an encouraging diagnosis. Janice faced it all with an uncommon amount of strength and courage. She started treatment including radiation, chemo, and a multitude of doctors appointments, as well as 3 brain surgeries to attempt to remove as much of the tumor as possible and a shunt placement. Despite all of this, Janice maintained her sense of humor and optimism. She continued to manage Mak’s special needs care as well.

Due to various hospital stays for Janice, as well as Maksim due to seizures, the last year has been especially hard financially for Janice and John.

This has been a long, hard journey for Janice and her family and friends. She has entered a new chapter of her journey as she will soon be leaving the hospital to go home with hospice care.

We are asking for donations to help lessen the financial burden, to help with medical expenses, as well as any unexpected expenses that may pop up during this time. We would like to take a moment to thank everyone who has come to visit, brought meals, sent gift cards, and offered prayers. They are appreciated more than you will every know. Janice talked a lot about her village during her cancer battle. They meant the world to her. It’s for this reason, that we are asking for your help once again.
