For the Family of Kim McWilliams

Kim McWilliams passed away on April 4, 2024.

She battled cancer for many years without complaining to anyone and suffered in silence while still attempting to work to keep health insurance, pay family bills, and she received numerous medical procedures and surgeries throughout this arduous and courageous fight. The medical and household bills have sometimes been insurmountable, but the family stayed strong for Kim throughout her journey.

Her son, Tim, prepared this week to leave on a four-month work assignment in South Africa in order to help with the family finances. Kim helped her son in preparing to leave by helping him pack on April 3 (the night before she passed) for the long time away. She didn't stop for one moment to think about herself - always thinking about others even in her last hours. Tim boarded the long flight to South Africa and Kim passed away while Tim was in flight. His plane landed in South Africa and Tim landed to the information that he had lost his dear mother.

Burial expenses and unpaid medical bills as well as just maintaining the household at this time have taken a complete and utter financial toll on the McWilliams family.

Any amount given in this GoFundMe would be appreciated to help the family get through this difficult time and sustain them for a bit into the future. Kim was the rock of the family to her devoted husband, Chris, as well as their son, Tim.

Chris said that Kim was the love of his life and no statement could be more true. All you had to do was look at the two of them - their love was evident.

Kim was a giver from beginning to end - never thinking of herself - and it was demonstrated by all the wonderful things many have said about her.

One friend made a very profound statement and it really embodies the life of Kim - "There's friends, there's family, and there's Kim. She always made everyone feel special."
