Pay tribute to Newburyporter killed by car

Hello, all. We are Newburyporters and are rallying to support the family of the pedestrian killed on Low St. on June 24, 2023. Mercy Kimani, a Kenyan by birth, was 41 years old, and had come to the U.S. to work and support her family. Mercy was well known in the Lowell Kenyan community and they are raising money to either repatriate Mercy's body to Kenya, or to cover the burial costs here and try to bring a family member from Kenya. We are saddened by Mercy's tragic passing, and want to help her family. Please donate whatever you can. We are working with the Kenyan community and will ensure that contributions go directly for funeral expenses and for the well being of Mercy's family.
