Help for our beautiful Claire’s family

You alright?

On Thursday 14th September 2023 we lost an Angel. Claire passed away suddenly at home leaving behind her husband Ian, and three beautiful children, Layla, Mia and Paddy.

Claire and Ian moved to Australia in 2012 which is when our friendship began.

Claire was loving, caring and most of all the life of every party (even if it wasn’t a party). From her dance moves to her singing at karaoke and party tricks, Claire knew exactly how to bring a smile to everyone around her.

She loved her family so much and was always talking about how proud she was of each of her children. This year she watched as her eldest daughter attended her Senior formal and in the lead up to the event, she would talk about the dress and how beautiful Layla looked. She was so proud of the young adult she had raised. She would talk about how Mia was so much like her, loved life and loved being there to watch her football (soccer) and hockey games. And then there is Pads or Paddles as she would often call him. The youngest of the clan. She often talked about Pads and what he had been doing at school, or when he had stirred up the girls, and when he had his first football (soccer) game.

Claire also was an intelligent and smart businesswoman. In most recent years she began GladRags Markets which she would hold at the Bulimba Community Centre. The markets would invite stall holders to sell preloved clothing to reduce the waste to landfill. She also became the President of the Bulimba Community Centre and the Saint to my Queen at Saint and Queen Marketing Specialists.

She has left a lasting impression on so many around her both near and far.

Along with her closest friends, I would like to ask for your help to raise much needed funds to help cover the funeral costs and also to help support the family with living expenses and school fees.
