Support the Family of Youcosta Rachal

Youcosta “Chetta” Rachal entered the Garden of Eternal Life at the age of 50 on Monday August 29, 2022, surrounded in love by family. Chetta grew up in Algiers, LA, and graduated from both LB Landry and Herzing College as a Surgical Technician. Once meeting her shining light and love Shelly, they resided in Metairie. Chetta was a woman of many talents: a Health Coach, a Medical Assistant with Vigour Pediatrics and had a true Green Thumb. She had an affinity for sports and actively participated in basketball, softball, and volleyball. She also assisted in sports related activities that her sons were involved in from elementary and throughout high school. Chetta will be dearly missed and ALWAYS celebrated.

Youcosta’s passing was an unexpected shock to us all. She dedicated her life to raising two amazing men as a single mom. In addition, she leaves behind the love of her life, 4 children, and 6 grandchildren.

Having recently started a new job, her insurance and benefits had not yet kicked in. Youcosta was a hardworking woman, as is her family. They never ask for anything and have worked hard for everything they have. However, the family needs some help during this really hard season but would never ask for help, so we set this up because we really want to help bless them.

Right now, the main expenses we are asking for help with are all the funeral expenses and to help for her 20-year-old son, who is left with no support, but all the expenses of the apartment they shared, utilities and their shared a car which he needs to continue to go to/from work. The money he had been saving up for his own car is now needed for his living expenses now that he is on his own.

Our wish is to pay off her car, cover these expenses and support this family as they go through this difficult transition.
