Cancer Survivor, Marfan Warrior in Need

Hi, my name is Erin and I am raising funds for myself and my family. Our little family has suffered multiple hardships the last few years that has put us in a position that scares me greatly. My household consists of myself, my 19yr old daughter, my 13yr old son, and my 91yr old grandmother. In the last 12yrs I have been my grandmother's full-time caregiver as she cannot live alone due to her paralysis she suffered from a stroke she had, so when my grandfather passed away I stepped up to take care of her. Very recently she has now become basically incapable of moving herself around which has created a much more demanding role physically and emotionally for me. I will take care of her till the end or until I am no longer able to. It is very difficult because I have a broken clavicle I live with due to being neglected and then released from an ER "with nothing wrong" after a bad car accident I was in. That happened just a few months after I finished my chemotherapy from having had breast cancer which I did after a mastectomy. All the while caring for my grandmother and kids. I am also extremely active and busy with my 13yr old son as he has Marfan Syndrome, and he is unfortunately at the severe end of the spectrum. October 2021 he underwent a very big and painful surgery to replace his aortic root and also had a bar placed in his chest to correct his pectus excavatum. We see 5 different specialists for all his issues from this disorder and he will face several more surgeries in his life, just to keep him alive. Recently I lost my car due to our financial situation and my inability to go back to work currently because of my grandmother and son. So that left us reliant upon my 19yr old daughter's car for all of our transportation needs..3 weeks ago my daughter was in an awful, and terrifying car wreck caused by a drunk driver. My daughter was taken to a hospital via Careflite...and thankfully she was released that same evening with no major injuries. Her car however is a total loss. The insurance investigation is taking a very long time as there were multiple cars and people involved. We only carried liability as her car was paid off and a little older model car.

So to wrap this up and get to the point... I cannot take care of my family with no vehicle. We barely make our monthly bills since I lost my main income due to everything mentioned above.

It has taken all of this, and seeing the impact it is having on my family to finally accept that I need help.
