Marvin Otenyo Memorial Fund

Donation protected
Dear Friends and Family,

I am writing to ask for your help in a matter that is deeply personal and important to many of us. As you may know, a beloved member of our community recently passed away. Marvin Otenyo was a cherished member of our community. It is the family’s deepest wish to send Marvin to his final resting place in Africa, his birthplace and the land of his ancestors.

We have created a GoFundMe page to help raise the necessary funds, and we are humbly asking for your help in spreading the word and donating whatever you can.

Marvin was a person of great integrity, compassion, and strength, and he touched the lives of many people in our community. We believe that sending him to his final resting place in Africa is the most fitting way to honor his memory and pay tribute to his memory.

We understand that times are tough for many of us, but we believe that every little bit helps. If you are able to make a donation, no matter how small, it would be greatly appreciated. And even if you are unable to donate, we ask that you please share the GoFundMe link with your friends and family to help spread the word.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this message, and for your consideration in helping us fulfill the family’s wish. Your generosity and support mean the world to us during this difficult time.

All proceeds will go directly to his father, Eric Otenyo to use and disperse as he sees fit.

Marvin was a man who brought joy and laughter to those around him, yet struggled with a burden that ultimately proved too heavy for him to bear. Today, we say goodbye to a man who suffered from alcohol disease.

For those of us who knew him, we remember a kind and caring soul who always had a smile on his face. He was a loving son, brother, and friend, who touched the lives of so many people with his warmth and generosity. But behind that smile was a struggle that he fought every day of his life. The burden of alcohol disease weighed heavily on him, and despite his best efforts, it was a battle that he ultimately lost.

It is easy to judge someone who suffers from alcohol disease. We can label them as weak or lacking in willpower, but the truth is far more complicated than that. Addiction is a disease, and like any disease, it can strike anyone, regardless of their strength or character. Marvin fought this disease with every ounce of his being, and for that, we must admire his courage and strength.

As we mourn the passing of our friend, we must also remember the lessons that his life has taught us. We must strive to be compassionate and understanding to those who suffer from addiction, to recognize that they are fighting a battle that is both physical and emotional. We must also remember the importance of seeking help when we need it, of reaching out to those around us and asking for support when we feel lost or alone.

Marvin leaves behind a community of friends and family who loved him deeply, and who will always remember the warmth and kindness that he brought into our lives. May his memory be a blessing to us all, and may we honor his life by continuing to fight against the scourge of addiction, and by showing love and compassion to those who suffer from it.

Rest in peace, dear friend. You will be sorely missed, but never forgotten.

Sincerely,

The Philpott family
