The Famous Glasgow Rangers 55 Celebrations

Wee update 

£3080.00 is The total raised ()

£2750.00 is the total cost 

£330.00 is the Balance 

We looked at various options for celebrations, another plane or a long shot was areal display, however we have our 55 banner ready to fly imminent (please follow the banner twitter account @jim53299749  for flight paths and flight times)

Any extra money was going to be put to the  

Erskine Appeal via the Great Railway Bears a fantastic group of people that do such great work for the Erskine Appeal, however after much thought, considerations and discussions with the Railway Bears, and 

With the recent tens of thousands the Rangers family have donated to various charities including the Erskine Appeal in mind, we thought the Bears with their such generosity wanted to see celebrations, so here is what we are doing with the balance of £330, we will put £70 to it and raise it to £400 and donate it to our friends across the water.

our friends in Northern Ireland at Ards chosen few Rangers Supporters Club have booked two planes with two 55 banners to fly all over Northern Ireland (they will send me flight times and flight path when confirmed and i will update the banner twitter account.

I hope you all find this gesture satisfactory, 

Should anyone wish their contribution of balance go to Erskine appeal rather than our friends at ARDS RSC for the 55 fly past celebrations, please let me know and i will donate personally.

Hullo hullo, we have smashed the plane and 17 meter x 4.5 meter banner target 

 that is now covered and the banner has been now ordered and plane booked

 i have upped the total for another £10k 

we can have 5 stunt planes performing stunts, blowing red white and blue smoke, sky writting “55titles” over Ibrox 

Lets make this happen 

Lets have a squadron of 5 planes in the sky writing and doing stunts whilst there is a 17 meter banner flying about 
Hullo, Hullo !

I have a pilot arranged to complete a fly over of Ibrox and Glasgow, displaying a
17 metre x 4.5 metre banner.
I have a graphic designer working on our RFC 55 banner, he sent over his first
sketch today and it looks fantastic!

The total cost for flying this massive banner all over Glasgow is £2750 which
covers everything, the banner and the 30/40minute flying time.


With other events being organised, We will have the perfect 55 celebrations as befitting the most successful club in the world.

Should we not meet the £2750 target or exceed the target then any money raised will be donated to the great Rangers charities via the Railway Bears
