The Fence Store

On behalf of the Batho family, Curtis and Destiny would like to express their sincere gratitude for the outpour of support they have received from our community after this tragic event. As some of you know, their family business The Fence Store burned down in a fire early this morning and is classified as a total loss. We are still not entirely sure the cause, but so far it has been determined as an act of arson. As some of you may know, arson isn't usually covered by insurance so we truly have know way of knowing what the future holds for them. They want to rebuild as soon as possible and get the business up and running again, but this process will take a minimum of 6-8 months to accomplish. Until then, there will be tremendous financial burden lingering. I can't imagine who or why anyone would ever want to cause this family harm, but I have faith that we as a community can come together and give a little relief back to this family who has done so much for all of us. They have helped make Homedale the amazing community that it is. Their business has brought customers in from all over Idaho helping all the surrounding small businesses and Homedales economy prosper over the last several years. They host non profit events to try to raise money to supply our Treasure Valley children with shoes throughout the year and donate their time and resources to various charity events. There are dozens of other families and businesses who depend on this store to operate their own businesses to feed their families as well. Their employees also share a major part of this burden with them as they are all out of employment until we can get this business up and running again.

These people are the LAST people who deserve something like this to happen, because they are the FIRST ones to help everyone in need. Now it's our turn as a community, as friends, and as humans to rally together and take some of this burden off their shoulders.

This business and their family is their entire life. They put their blood, sweat, and tears into this community on a daily basis. The questions, comments, and concerns I've seen today from everyone just shows me how much everyone is willing to help support these guys, so here's our opportunity! Let's rally!
