No parent should ever have to bury their child. Unfortunately, our brother, Sergeant Erick Ferrell and his family will have to endure this unfathomable task. Erick’s beloved 16-year-old daughter, Maya, was abruptly taken from the Ferrell family with her whole life ahead of her. This vibrant student-athlete and beautiful soul was just beginning her journey into womanhood. A shooting star whose light was extinguished far too soon.
