The Field Social Centre

The Field is a social and educational space and political project which resists the logic of capitalism through local political action, radical education, mutual care and solidarity, and commoning and collective service provision.

The Field acts as a venue for groups, campaigns, and events that share these principles, and exists as a collective which instigates new projects from the space and in the local area.

We are completely volunteer-run and not-for-profit. All our costs are paid for by donations. We are fundraising to cover the cost of our running costs, utilities, reduced business rates and supplies for our community garden, for the rest of 2023. We hope you'll agree it's a little money for a project that provides a weekly community dinner, meeting and event space, a beautiful food garden, a warm space and a youth club!

Our plans for 2023 include a pond in the garden that will be a habitat for wildlife, improved accessibility and new insulation to keep us warm and our energy costs down.
