On Thursday 7th October 2021 My very Special friends Wendy and Mark had the worst news any parents could wish for!
Her son Adam was rushed to A&E with a mass in his brain.
Adam had been suffering from severe headaches for eight weeks which got tremendously worse with blurred vision.
Doctors had been treating him with Sinusitis!
After continually phoning the GP surgery to insist on a face to face appointment the Doctor told him to make an appointment with the Optician.
The Optician was extremely distressed when he discovered a mass behind his left eye!
He was told to go straight to A&E where he was given blood tests, CT scan and an MRI scan.
His results showed he had a brain tumour which was extremely cancerous!! In fact one of the worse they could have found!!
Adam underwent brain surgery on Monday 1st November 2021 at Addenbrookes Hospital
The surgeons are pleased how the op went and Adam is in full spirits and very strong!
The next few weeks will tell how successful the operation went and he will start 6 weeks of radiotherapy followed by chemotherapy.
The reason I am writing this is that he and his partner Tasha are expecting their first baby on 3rd December (a baby boy ) and are unable to work.
With having a mortgage, bills to pay, a new baby on the way and many other expenses, I would like to bring this upon myself and the girls at The White Rooms Shefford to help raise money to support this very special couple. ❤️
At this moment in time we are uncertain to what the outcome will be but… one day at a time!
With all the help, love and support of raising some money will give them the help they need to live without worrying on how they will keep their house and pay any bills etc.
Please donate what you can, every little helps in this fight against cancer.
I will keep you updated with any news and would like to thank you all for supporting in any way you can ❤️
Kind wishes
