The Firefighter George Baldock Family Fund

Donation protected
On Wednesday 27th February, 2019, Fire and Rescue NSW lost one of their best, Senior Firefighter George Baldock, in tragic circumstances. George was a great mate and a family man, who dedicated his life to serving the community and keeping others safe. His friends, colleagues and extended family members have been left devastated at his passing, but no-one has felt the loss more acutely than his wife and soul-mate, Bree and their beautiful young children; William 6, Jasmine 4 and Lily, almost 2. They have lost a devoted husband and dad, who they loved more than anything and miss terribly.

Unfortunately, not long before his passing, the young family began renovations on the family home. Being a qualified plumber and owner builder, George had decided to undertake the task with the help of a family friend, but all came to a halt when he died suddenly and unexpectedly. Bree and the children are currently living in a home that is a partial building site, not only externally but internally. There are tarps and building materials as far as the eye can see. Not only is this unpleasant, but unsafe for their beautiful babes, as well as being a constant reminder of the the life and future they had planned together.

We are asking for your support to assist Bree in bringing George's vision for his little family to fruition, and to create a safe and comfortable environment for them to live in. As well as this, the family need  help to cover the costs of day to day living expenses like the mortgage and bills, in this very difficult interim period. At this point, Bree and the kids have been living on the family's dwindling savings as she has received no income, and these are fast running out

George was a hero in the local and wider community and as mentioned, spent his life committed to serving others. It would be great to see the community he served "pay it forward" for his loved ones in their time of need. Both George and Bree were and are incredibly proud and independent people who would never ask for help, hence this request being all the more difficult.

All proceeds raised will be managed independently from Bree and forwarded to her and the children as required. Any amount not required by Bree will be forwarded to the Burns Unit @ The Children's Hospital at Westmead.

Thanks in advance from us on behalf of Bree, William, Jasmine and Lily xxoo
