John needs our help! "Teddington Fish Bar"
Donation protected
It has been a year since our beloved "Teddington Fish Bar" on Kingston Road has been closed due to the electrical fire that led to John having to shut his doors.
Just by chance I caught up with John outside the shop recently looking a bit downhearted, as you do, I wanted to know how much longer before he reopens. I was shocked to hear he might have to walk away as he is a few thousand short, even though he has got it so close to getting the shop ready and open.
He has tried to come up with alternative solutions, but sadly feels there's not much left he can do now as financial he has exhausted all of his funds and reserves due to taking much longer than expected and he may now have to just walk away (as the majority of his insurance settlement was spent on legal fee's, to get the shop back "up and running" due to expensive and complicated processes involving different people and agencies)
John is a very valuable member of our community, who has always, ALWAYS done whatever he can to help others in our local area.
When this incident first happened, many people wanted to help John get back on his feet, and offered to set up a "crowd funding page" John was very touched by this at the time, but was staunch in his approach to not rely on his many loyal and appreciative customers in this way.
I would love to be able to give back to John, by ignoring him and setting up this page to help give him the final helping hand that he deserves and needs to re-open the doors of "The fish bar" ASAP.
He may not be happy that I have started this page, but my goodness- I need his crispy battered fish and chips back in my life
