Hello, my name is Traci and I’m Shane’s mother. I am asking for your help today as my son's family has found themselves in a time of desperate need. On New Year's Eve, Shane fell ill. As days passed without improvement, the choice was made to take him to Munson's ED. Here, he was diagnosed with Covid and cellulitis and admitted for treatment. This has hit him hard, especially since Shane has been struggling with an autoimmune disease for several years.

Currently, Shane continues to fight for his recovery while utilizing the help of Munson's great medical team, but unfortunately, his progression has been much slower than expected. At this point, we are unsure how long he will remain in the hospital. The medical bills are beginning to pile up as Shane has been out of work for a couple of weeks now, and we don't anticipate a quick return to work once discharged from the hospital due to the severity of his illness and the comorbidities involved. His wife, Dani, continues to be the only one working in a two-income family. However, Dani will also be needing to take some unplanned time off from work to take care of their 6-year-old daughter, Lyra, and help Shane once he returns home.

Shane and his little family will need financial help with rent, medical bills, and other day-to-day expenses as they navigate through this challenging time.
