I know Dennis Wallace from the Stowe Transfer Station (LRSWMD). He always, always greets me with a smile and a kind word. He stops to say hello to my pup every time we go through his booth. He is just such a kind soul.
A few days ago, we went to do our recycling & Dennis looked really sad. I asked what was wrong & it turns out that he lost EVERYTHING in the Johnson flood. He lost his house, everything in it & both of his vehicles. I hope people will rally to help him & his family. I’m sure he has applied for FEMA help & all of that, but he lost all of his belongings. I think he probably could use some help from the community that he helps to take care of every day.
