The Forest Film Fundraiser

Donation protected
The Forest Film Fundraiser is a fundraiser with the goal of encouraging audiences to talk openly about mental health and suicide. Event planner Amanda Chiu and screenwriter/actor Frank Marrs are teaming up with Beanduck, an independent film production company from Montreal founded in 2012 by director Julian Stamboulieh and producer Benjamin Warner for the production of the short film entitled The Forest.

"The Forest" is a film about a place where many people unfortunately choose to end their lives. After having lost his wife here, Gabriel volunteers to find bodies that have been lost to the world. For the first time he discovers someone who is still alive...

No one wants to see another take their own life, but the first and maybe most important step we can take to help others is to start a conversation. Our project aims to share the concept that although we do not have control over someone’s final destination in life, we can always positively affect their journey. In the end, it is ultimately our journey that matters most. We must be there for one another, free of judgment, full of compassion; everyone is in need of honest love. Our film aims to bring awareness to mental health and how simple and easy actions can make a difference.
