My name is Ellen English, and I am reaching out to you with a heartfelt plea for support. I founded the Furry Friends Fund (FFF) in memory of my beloved cat, Petey, and I am dedicated to helping animals in need in our community. Our mission is simple yet powerful: "help animals in need who cross our paths."

**What We Do:**

Furry Friends Fund is a grassroots initiative focused on reducing the population of homeless cats while providing essential care for a senior rescue horse, Kenny, and his goat companion, Lovebug. Over the years, I have witnessed the struggles of countless animals in our community, and I have dedicated my time and resources to ensure they live their lives in comfort and health.

**Why We Need Your Help:**

As a long-time resident of Wintergreen Resort, I’ve taken on the challenge of rescuing and caring for homeless cats and providing for the needs of Kenny and Lovebug. This effort has grown more demanding and costly than I ever anticipated, and I cannot do it alone. I am seeking financial support from our community to help sustain this vital work.

Your contributions will directly impact our efforts, enabling us to:

- **Fund Humane Box Traps**: At approximately $85–$125 each, these traps allow us to safely capture homeless cats for spaying and neutering.

- **Cover Spay/Neuter Services**: Your donations will help control the homeless cat population and reduce suffering in our community.

- **Provide Ongoing Medical Care**: Funds will support vaccinations and medical needs for our furry friends.

- **Build Outdoor Cat Housing**: We aim to provide safe, warm shelters for outdoor cats, with each house costing around $150.

- **Feed and Care for Kenny and Lovebug**: Your support will ensure they receive the food, hay, and farrier care they need.

**How You Can Help:**

Every donation, no matter the size, makes a difference. Here’s how your contributions can help:

- **$10/month (~$120/year)**: Covers the cost of a humane box trap for safely capturing homeless cats for spaying/neutering, or funds one spay/neuter procedure at a low-cost clinic.

- **$20/month (~$240/year)**: Provides an annual checkup and vaccinations for one cat.

- **$25/month (~$300/year)**: Covers a full month of assistance from two helpers to feed Kenny and Lovebug.

- **$30/month (~$360/year)**: Funds three spay/neuter procedures at a low-cost clinic, or provides 10 bags of horse feed, which lasts approximately 2.5 months.
