The Fynches Debut Album

Hi! Oisín, Ferdia and Cam from The Fynches here. In March/April 2024 we're recording our debut album. We're incredibly excited as we've been working hard over these past few years - We've been consistently writing our favourite kind of music, music that we hope you'll love too.

We are striving to keep this first album 100 per cent independent. Unfortunately so many musical artists end up in situations where they don't own the masters to their own music due to the involvement of large record companies. We are endeavouring to avoid this kind of situation by self-funding the album. This means, we are using all our available skills to reduce studio costs by working from our own, modest studio instead of renting one. Ferdia will engineer the entire thing. Oisín will do the arrangements. It will be produced by ourselves and we will work extremely hard fulfilling the roles of many to complete this piece of art that is very important to us.

WHERE YOUR HELP COMES IN:

Despite all of our own efforts and the personal savings we have already put into this project, we will still lose a large amount of money in doing the album as we hope to. Individuals in the band are taking time off their paid work to dedicate it to the Fynches album. There are skilled people that we want to employ properly for their time and there are costs that are beyond our budget. We have no guarantee that we would ever make this money back but we CAN guarantee an album of true, honest, independent music.

YOU CAN HELP US by contributing to the costs of:

-Mixing engineer for full album (€4000)

-Mastering engineer for full album (€1200)

-Session player's fees (strings etc) (€1300)

-Covering the bands expenses during the album recording (approx €3500)

Additional costs - subject to meeting our initial funding goal:

-PR campaign for album release - €2500

-Vinyl and CD Production Costs - €3500
