Kayla Galvez (GHS Freshman, Brooklawn)
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Colin MacAdams. I am lifelong resident of Brooklawn, a current councilman in town, and former neighbor of the Galvez family.
I am raising money for the Galvez family of Brooklawn. The recipient of the donations will be Vilma Hernandez, Kayla’s mother. Kayla Galvez (14) was tragically and critically injured after being struck by a vehicle crossing Route 130 in Brooklawn on December 29, 2023.
As we can imagine, this tragedy has created many unexpected hardships and challenges for the family. Kayla continues to fight with her condition listed as “stable but critical.” She and her family face a long and difficult road to recovery.
Kayla is currently a freshman at Gloucester City High School and has two older siblings. She also has a younger brother in Brooklawn School. Kayla is a phenomenal person from a wonderful family. Right now, Brooklawn and Gloucester, this family needs our help.
The monetary donations raised will go to rising medical expenses as Kayla fights to recover, increasing unforeseen parking and travel fees, as well as food for the family as they try to navigate this circumstance.
No amount of money is too small. It’s my hope that we can rally around the Galvez’s in their time of need. Thank you and God bless all of you that are able to contribute. Prayers are also welcomed and please SHARE!
