The garofalo family

On january 23rd Nick Garofalo was going down to his basement to go light their coal furnace to keep their house warm because we are in the middle of winter. As he went to go do that as he has 100 times before something exploded and Nick caught on fire. The flames traveled and burned his upper body pretty severely. He has suffered 2nd and 3rd degree burns and is currently getting skin surgically removed. The doctors will be discussing with his wife, meagen, after surgery if skin grafts will be needed. His hair, eyebrows, eyelashes and beard are just burned off, burns on his face, upper body, arms and hands are pretty severe. Nick works 2 demanding jobs to make ends meet to provide for meagen and their 3 children. Age 11, and 2 twins boys that are 3. Nick will be out of work for 6 weeks or longer to recover. They are the type of people who you call first when you need a hand or advice. And definitely not the type of people to cry out for help. Thats where we come in. Everything donated will be used to help pay medical bills, their housing expenses (we all know how todays economy is) food, and gas so meagen can travel back and forth to be with nick in the hospital and the many doctors appointments ahead.
