Update- October 4th

After battling all summer with some success Dylan has now had 2 relapses. The first during the 1st week of August where his leukemia returned in his central nervous system and spread to his brain. Unfortunately his body also developed a resistance to chemotherapy resulting in his best weapon against this disease being taken away from him. Against overwhelming odds the doctors did radiation on his spine and brain in an attempt to get his cancer cell count to zero so he could be transferred to princess Margaret hospital for a stem cell transplant. It worked for all of 5 days and then he relapsed again this time throughout his blood stream and bone marrow. With chemotherapy being his biggest weapon and proving to be unsuccessful we have to turn to other drugs...unfortunately they aren't covered by any drug plan. With dylan having been back at sunnybrook going on over 2 months the funds already raised have been depleted and put towards helping him and family stay afloat. Any help that can be provided is so appreciated as the family tries to keep Dylan with them.
