The Gibbos (Michael Gibson and family)

As you are most likely aware, Gibbo (Michael Gibson), a true Australian inspiration in life and out in the field, was dealt a shit card late last year with the news he has terminal pancreatic cancer.

If you are fortunate enough to know Gibbo, I’m sure you would agree he has lived about 20 full lives in his young years to date - pushing the boundaries and life to the absolute max.

As you can imagine, this news has rocked many worlds as we know him as larger than life and as strong as anyone could be, in true Gibbo style despite the news, already, in his few months of treatment Gibbo has proven yet again the beast he is, continuing to train hard, be super dad, hunt, fish, travel, and work (he often frequents team meetings whilst unflinchingly hooked up to chemo treatment in hospital).

Gibbo is a man who has done so much for the hunting and firearm community and his legacy will live on forever. Whether it be taking non-stop questions from a beginner, going hard politically to stick up for our rights, championing Expos, guiding and taking teams out hunting, writing and blogging, producing impeccable photography, engaging and promoting whilst teaching about gear, Gibbos' approach is completely selfless & admirable.

Gibbo, aside from his massive Industry influence has proven a brilliant IT guru in his full-time employment, champion softball star (inducted into the Australian hall of fame) and his proudest achievement; being a brilliant family man ensuring his girls have a wonderful healthy outdoors life hunting, fishing and Camping.

We all pray that Gibbo continues to get the absolute best from his remaining time here and we know if anyone will live life to the absolute fullest it will be Gibbo.
