The Giles Family (Baby Julianna)

As many of you know, Laura and Mike Giles are very excited to welcome a baby girl to their adorable family. The pregnancy became complicated when we found out that she (Julianna) developed a rare congenital heart condition called Ebstein Anomaly (1 in 200,000 births). This will require at least three surgeries in the first few years of life. The first is required for survival two days after birth, the second in May. We are hopeful that Julianna, already proving to be a survivor, will make it through each surgery just fine. However, these surgeries will require expert intervention to be successful. Julianna will be delivered and hospitalized in Minnesota, as a requirement by their OB/surgeon, but have had to keep their son James (kindergarten) and their furry son, Cam at home in Iowa. We know that the postpartum stage could be a challenging time, including back and forth travel and the unique requirements for Julianna (night nurse) and for Laura. It will be imperative that Julianna remain healthy for vital surgeries.

We wanted to start a gofundme account to raise funds to help support significant medical costs, relocation, travel, night nursing/staff, meals and to support income/many months away from work. We all love this beautiful family, and hopeful that by the grace of God, everything will turn out well for them!
