Help the Gillingham Family Beat Cancer...again.

In September 2021, Tug was diagnosed with stage 3 oropharyngeal cancer
( HPV throat cancer) . Tug is a dedicated father of two young children, a loving husband, a devoted school teacher, and a passionate baseball coach.
While facing chemotherapy and radiation, he juggled teaching, running his young kids to school, batting practices and still finding time to support his devoted wife Jenn, also a committed high school teacher.
For nearly 12 months, putting one foot in front of the other, out of the house, into the classroom, onto the baseball diamond, into the hospital lobby, and back home to pack lunches and put his kids to bed, by Labor Day 2022, the doctors gave Tug a
clean bill of health.
Unfortunately, again Tug's been diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer in his voice box, which will require surgery and highly specialized care at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.
The financial costs have been and will continue to be overwhelming. Flights back and forth to Houston for treatments that include rounds of radiation, accommodations, and continuing medical treatment in Chicago are just naming a few of the large expenses for Tug and Jenn. Hundreds of dollars a week are simply spent on a high-protein liquid diet. Continued treatment out of state means less time for his kids, Jenn his wife, his students, his teams and his career as a teacher.
While Tug receives ongoing treatment, family and friends' financial contributions can make a huge difference in helping Tug and his family beat cancer...again.
Thank you for your generosity and support!
